Macquarie University invites you to attend the inaugural Vice-Chancellor's Excellence Awards for Learning and Teaching and Professional Staff. 

This year marks the first combined ceremony for the Vice-Chancellor's Learning and Teaching Awards and the Vice-Chancellor's Excellence Awards for Professional Staff. Combining the awards allows us to come together to recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements of our staff ​and congratulate our highly commended finalists and winners.  

We look forward to welcoming you to celebrate the achievements of our esteemed colleagues. 



Learning and Teaching Awards

The Macquarie University Vice-Chancellor's Learning and Teaching Awards recognise and celebrate individual teachers, teams of teachers and professional staff who make a difference in students' learning. 

The award categories are:

  • Educational Leader
  • Teaching Excellence
  • Learning Innovation
  • Early Career
  • Sessional Staff
  • Student-Nominated

Professional Staff Awards

The Vice-Chancellor's Excellence Awards for Professional Staff recognise the exceptional performance of professional staff members who have performed above and beyond the normal requirements of their position, serve the strategic priorities of the University and demonstrate a commitment to service and engagement. 

The award categories are: 

  • Outstanding Service  
  • Collaboration, Connection and Belonging 
  • Innovation and Process Improvement 
  • Leadership Excellence 
  • Diversity and Inclusion 
  • Agility (for pandemic response)
