Macquarie UniMoves App

The Macquarie UniMoves app was created to help you get moving!

Co-designed with SportAus and UniSport to help the Macquarie community stay active, it is updated daily with workouts and recipes. You can also create your own workouts using the exercise library or complete a pre-programmed workout.

Whether you exercise in a group or in your own environment, the app will help you keep track of everything you do.

Find out more about the app and how it works by taking part in one of our Tuesday lunchtime walks or by signing up for our team challenge.

Download the App

1

Download the Macquarie UniMoves app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

2

If you have your own tracking device such as Fitbit or Garmin, it's important your device is synced with Apple or Samsung Health first. You can then sync these with the app by making sure your apps and devices are connected through the settings section.

3

Once your devices are connected the app should automatically start tracking your activity.

4

If you'd prefer to add the activity you do manually, or are having issues with syncing your devices, you can do this by clicking 'add results' on the 'my movement' tab in the app.

5

Within the 'my movement' tab you also have the option of creating your own workouts by choosing exercises from the library, or you can pick a pre-programmed workout.

6

The 'results' tab will show you how many 'MOVEs' you have - this is calculated based on the intensity and duration of the activity you do. If you'd prefer to view your activity in calories or kilometres you can also do this within the 'results' tab.

7

Try to commit to 30 minutes of activity per day and aim for as many 'MOVEs' per day as you can.

8

The app will regularly be updated with recipes and health tips.
