Professor Michael Boers is an Industry Professor at Macquarie University and founder and Chief Technology Officer of Atto Devices, a fabless semiconductor company. His work focuses on developing advanced hardware systems and silicon-based microchips with applications in wireless communications, sensing and biotechnology.
Mike has led engineering teams in Australia and the United States, including roles at Broadcom, Movandi, and Quasar Sat - a CSIRO spin-out. He holds a degree in electronics from the University of Sydney and a PhD from Macquarie University. Mike is passionate about growing Australia’s participation in the semiconductor industry.
