Conference Workshops

A range of workshops are available for delegates to choose from. You can choose up to two workshops on the abstract submission portal. Places are limited for each workshop and will be allocated on a first-come-first served basis. Workshop leads will be in touch with registered participants in September with more information.  

  1. Macro photography and bug walk 
    (11 December 2026, morning: one hour indoors and two hours outdoors)
    Led by James Dorey; 25 participants; free for students; $50 for non-students.

  2. Electron microscopy 
    (11 December 2026, morning: two-hour session)
    Led by Sue Lindsay; 25 participants; free for all.

  3. High-speed videography
    (11 December 2026, afternoon: three-hour indoor session)
    Led by Ajay Narendra; 25 participants; free for all.

  4. Insect light trapping
    (10 December 2026, evening: 2–3 hours outdoors)
    Facilitator to be confirmed; 25 participants; free for all.

  5. Bug walk at Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park or the Wildflower Garden 
    (11 December 2026, full day)
    Facilitator to be confirmed; 20–25 participants; cost to be confirmed.
