After a two-year hiatus, Astronomy Open Night is back and bigger than ever this year and you’re invited to explore the Universe like never before!!
Bring the entire family along for an evening that will entertain and educate, stimulating the most inquisitive of minds (both young and old).
From our beloved Physics Magic Shows to our immersive Planetarium sessions, your old favourites are back in 2022 alongside a series of mini lectures from Macquarie academics and experts, drive an interactive robot with FIRST Robotics and observe the stars and planets in the Telescope Park.
Bring your junior scientists along to the Kids’ Space - a fun-packed area set-up with interesting, informative mini experiments and scientific activities for the little ones.
You won’t want to miss seeing the Laser Guide Star, a powerful tool used by astronomers to see the Universe more clearly. Don’t forget to visit our Exhibition Hall, full of fun and exciting stalls from the local astronomical community, where you can chat about astronomy, science and much more!
Astronomy Open Night will go ahead rain, hail or shine.
No ticket sales available on the night.
