Long day care
Casual care
University qualified Early Childhood Teachers lead the program delivery under the guidance of the Educational Leader and supported by the Program and Practice Support Teacher. Our physical environments are designed to stimulate children's natural curiosity and wonder, and we access University spaces and facilities, such as the Art Gallery and Library, to support and enhance our learning programs.
Sustainability, inclusion, and diversity are embedded in our practices and policies. We believe:
Casual care is designed for families who only need care occasionally or for less than a full day. Co-located with the long day care centre, casual care has its own playroom and playground, however, there may be times when the children are cared for in the same playrooms and playground as the long day care children (also aged six weeks to five years).

Our recently renovated centre has five indoor play rooms, including two rooms for infants and toddlers, as well as two separate playgrounds – one designed especially for children under two.
We see all children as capable and competent learners and our team of qualified staff are committed to supporting your child’s learning and development. Our educators work with smaller groups of children, fostering an environment where children share their knowledge with their peers. We also encourage siblings to interact throughout the day and we value the support they can offer each other.
There are numerous art galleries in the Paddington community. We regularly take the children to visit these and draw on them as inspiration for creative arts in our preschool educational program.

KU Rushcutters is allocated in the heart of Sydney’s urban area. The children attend the service who live in an urban setting benefit from the natural environment as it gives them a space to engage daily with nature. When the children play and explore in nature and their imagination and curiosity spark and grow. The educators incorporate the large natural outdoor space into their program where each child is immersed in a rich tapestry of educationally interactive experiences.
The service encourages children to practice sustainable behaviours and develop respect for the natural environment. Gardening, hosting a native beehive, reusing and recycling the materials we have, and selecting more sustainable resources, these experiences allow children to explore and learn the possible ways that humans, animals, and plants share the land and water together and what a sustainable community may look like.

KU West Pymble is a long-established community-based preschool that sits nestled in a natural bush setting. It's a 40-place service that works within two classrooms and a shared outdoor space. Their practice is strongly reflective of their belief in the importance of sustainability and supporting children to develop respect for the environment and appreciate its beauty. Children are actively encouraged to consider that the flora and fauna they share space with also have rights and needs which must be considered. They recognise that early childhood is a critical time for exploring and developing an understanding of lifelong sustainable practice, eco-smart values and living in the natural world to care for it to ensure that it will be there tomorrow.
