Imagining Outer Space: A screening of experimental science communication films  

Experience two short films created by the Archival Futures Collective, a group who make experimental films about human and more-than-human relationships to nature on Earth and off-Earth, inspired by the research materials and collections of museums, archives, libraries, and cultural institutions around the world.

When the International Astronomical Union launched a global program inviting the public to come up with meaningful names for exoplanets, people around the world responded - choosing names that build deep symbolic ties between Earth and planets in other solar systems.

A film created by the Archival Futures Collective.  A daughter mourns the loss of her father, a passionate collector of space memorabilia, as she falls under the sway of the 'flown' space objects in her inheritance.
