Overview

Large numbers of people worldwide routinely take sleep pills to help sleep. There is a number of different types and there are many myths and misconceptions about how they work, what they do and the safety of these medications. 

This presentation will provide the audience with an understanding of the different types and the appropriate evidence-based use. 


Biography

Professor Bandana Saini is Australia’s leading pharmacy researcher specialising in respiratory and sleep health. Her work focuses on improving medication safety, implementing pharmacy-based models of sleep health, pharmacovigilance and providing evidence-based approaches to pharmaceutical sleep health.
